We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for the following duties.
Duties
- Taking patient medical histories.
- Recording vital signs.
- Preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
- Assisting with procedures and performing EKGs.
- Educating patients on medications and treatment plans.
- Scheduling appointments and managing the office calendar.
- Answering phones
- Greeting and checking in patients when needed
- Updating and maintaining patient records.
- Handling insurance verification and billing when needed
- Ordering supplies.
- Filing and organizing documents.
- Maintaining a clean environment.
- Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) systems, Eclinicalworks
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of medical charts
- Collaborate with physicians to optimize workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and systems
- Ability to type efficiently and accurately
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eclinicalworks
- Understanding of procedures and cardiology knowledge is advantageous
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 year of medical office experience.
- Certified M.A. preferred with High School Diploma.
- Fluency in Spanish is required. Other languages English.
