Vive Hotel Waikiki is seeking a qualified applicant that must meet the following:

-Ability to work 5 days full-time with flexible availability (as hotels are 24/7, we need your full flexibility). 2 shifts will be grave (10pm-6am), 3 other shifts will likely be 2p-10p or 6a-2pm. Overnight shifts are usually Sunday/Monday on a regular basis. 40 hrs/week.
-Looking for applicants that have hotel or valet experience.
-Applicant must have a clean driving abstract, it will be required to show one at the time of hiring.

-This position is physically active and requires frequent walking, prolonged standing, climbing stairs, bending, reaching, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Job Summary:
- Bell/Valet attendants are to ensure all guests are welcomed with a smile and shown aloha. They provide guests with their luggage assistance and parking assistance in a professional and courteous manner at all times while performing other daily tasks as requested. They are often the first representation of the hotel and should promote the growth of the company. They are responsible for ensuring we provide the highest level of guest service and that our standards are met and maintained at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities are listed below but not limited to:
- Engaging each guest as a unique individual and listen attentively to their requests
- Parking and retrieving guests’ vehicles in a safe manner
- Assisting guests with delivering and storing their luggage
- Answering phones in a timely manner
- Assisting guests with directions
- Completely filling out all valet sheets and tickets with a high emphasis to detail and accuracy
- Distribute and receive beach equipment from guests
- Practice safe working habits, including bending and lifting appropriately to avoid injury
- Delivering packages and other various requests
- Light maintenance and housekeeping assistance
- Safety and Security
Graveyard/Overnight Responsibilities (in addition to above):
- Perform whole-hotel security patrols throughout shift
- Clean and detail appropriate vehicles.
- Compose daily report of completed tasks during shift.
- Deliver departing guests’ bills.
- Audit vehicles
- Serve auditor completed vehicle inventory report.
- Assist guests with simple maintenance issues.
Abilities/Skills:
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Ability to read and understand effectively in the English language
- Warm and friendly personality. Welcoming and personable
- Able to work with minimal supervision. He/she should be able to analyze situations and make quick appropriate decision using common sense without the assistance of others
- Excellent multitasking and organization skills even under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Fully proficient in using basic computer functions
- Must have an open flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. 24 hour business
- Professional verbiage at all times
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, decimals, and percentages
- Additional languages are an asset
Computer Programs:
- Individual must be efficient in using Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Excel, Word, and Outlook
Job Demands:
- Individual must be able to drive standard vehicles and have a clean driving abstract
- Individual must be able to stand for long periods of time. Standing time is typically 8 hours
- May need to occasionally lift items weighing up to 70 pounds
- Running up and down stairs
Compensation is $18-19/hourly plus gratuity, bi weekly commission, +$3 differential pay for overnight hours ($18-19 +$3) for 10pm-6a shifts.
