About the Role
We are seeking a Commercial Property Field Manager to support a portfolio of commercial properties across New York City, Long Island, Connecticut, and surrounding areas.
This is a field-based role with administrative responsibilities, ideal for someone who is comfortable working independently, managing property conditions, coordinating vendors, and ensuring issues are followed through to completion.
This role requires regular travel and is best suited for someone who enjoys being in the field and managing multiple properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel between properties across NYC, Long Island, and Connecticut to conduct inspections and oversee operations
- Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with vendors
- Strong understanding of commercial lease agreements, real estate terminology, and property management practices
- Conduct site inspections and monitor property conditions
- Identify maintenance issues and coordinate vendors, repairs, and follow-up
- Oversee ongoing work to ensure it is completed properly and on time
- Track open issues and ensure resolution through completion
- Maintain communication with tenants, vendors, and internal teams
- Update Excel logs and internal systems with property activity and status updates
- Prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence
- Maintain organized records, including vendor and compliance documentation
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in property management, facilities, or building operations
- Experience with site inspections, vendor coordination, or property oversight
- Strong organizational skills and consistent follow-through
- Comfortable balancing field work and administrative responsibilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple properties and priorities independently
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with property management software such as Yardi, Skyline, MDS, etc.

- Comfortable traveling regularly between properties across NYC, Long Island, and Connecticut
- Comfortable driving within NYC as well as surrounding areas
- Able to work independently, and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to travel regularly by car between properties located throughout New York City, Long Island, and Connecticut.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving and working on a computer.
- Ability to walk properties for inspections, including exterior grounds, parking areas, and building interiors.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during site visits and property evaluations.
- Ability to climb stairs and navigate multi-level buildings, including properties that may not have elevator access.
- Ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, or reach while inspecting building areas, equipment, or maintenance conditions.
- Ability to lift or carry up to approximately 15–20 pounds occasionally (such as inspection materials, files, or small equipment).
- Ability to work outdoors periodically and tolerate varying weather conditions during property inspections.
- Ability to visually assess property conditions, including identifying maintenance issues, safety concerns, and property damage.
- Ability to use a computer, tablet, or mobile device to enter notes, update records, and communicate with internal teams and vendors.

Work Environment
This position combines field-based property oversight and administrative responsibilities.
The employee will regularly travel to commercial properties across New York City, Long Island, Connecticut, and surrounding areas to conduct inspections, oversee vendor work, and monitor property conditions. Field work may include walking properties, accessing building areas such as rooftops, basements, mechanical rooms, and parking areas, and observing maintenance or construction activity.
Administrative responsibilities include maintaining property records, updating internal systems and Excel logs, preparing reports and correspondence, and coordinating with tenants, vendors, and internal teams.
The role requires the ability to balance time between property visits and administrative follow-through to ensure that property issues are tracked and resolved.
Travel Requirements
This role requires regular travel between properties located throughout New York City, Long Island, Connecticut, and surrounding areas.
- Travel is expected multiple days per week depending on property needs, inspections, and vendor coordination.
- The position requires regular driving within New York City and surrounding metropolitan areas.
- Employees must maintain a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for property visits.
- Some days may involve visiting multiple properties within a single day.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
