The Hardware Installer operates machinery to install hardware components into fabricated sheet metal parts and supports production within the Form department. Team members may assist with other manufacturing operations as business needs require.
What You'll Do:
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Operate hardware insertion equipment and tooling to produce quality parts.
- Measure and inspect parts using calipers and other precision measuring tools to verify specifications.
- Identify common manufacturing materials, including stainless steel and aluminum.
- Identify product defects and notify the department lead or supervisor.
- Maintain quality standards while meeting production goals.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety procedures and assist with other departmental tasks as needed, including overtime when required.
What We're Looking For:
- Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
- Experience with hardware insertion equipment and tooling is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
- Positive attitude, strong attention to detail, reliable attendance, and willingness to learn.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Physical & Work Requirements:
- Work in a clean, air-conditioned manufacturing facility while wearing required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection as needed.
- Stand for extended periods and frequently bend, kneel, stoop, and use both hands throughout the workday.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 70 lbs. with assistance or lifting equipment.
