We Olive & Wine Bar is a California Olive Oil and Balsamic Shop with a wine bar and gourmet kitchen located in the heart of Downtown Los Gatos. We are looking for a foodie with a unique skill set and willingness to learn and develop in the culinary/wine field. We are looking for qualified candidates, with a passion for food and wine, to join our dynamic team in a premier location. While experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred, it is not required and we are willing to train the right person!
We focus on small, artisan producers throughout the state of California in the wine, olive oil, vinegar and gourmet food product fields. Great opportunity to learn and be immersed in the industry, full time and part time opportunities with flexible scheduling. While our store offers so much more as far as retail, gourmet foods, wines and home goods - we have an amazing wine bar where we get to feature and utilize all of our products in our kitchen - and showcase what we can do to our guests!
The role includes:
Preparing items from our menu during service hours in a timely manner and with consistent quality.
Maintaining inventory / ordering of ingredients, paper goods, required chemicals.
Maintaining prep levels for service items, slicing cheeses and meats as well as preparing batched items for service.
Keeping up with dishes and maintaining a clean work environment and following Health Department standards and procedures.
Contribution to quarterly specials and new menu items.
