This CNC Machinist role is built for someone who thrives in a hands‑on manufacturing environment and enjoys working with CNC machines, precision tools, and engineered components. You’ll set up and operate CNC equipment, interpret blueprints, inspect finished parts, and support production goals for reputable companies in the Lincoln area. Key Responsibilities
- CNC machine operation — Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining tasks.
- Blueprint interpretation — Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders.
- Tooling & setup — Select and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and materials.
- Quality monitoring — Monitor machine operations and adjust settings to maintain accuracy.
- Part inspection — Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and precision tools.
- Production documentation — Maintain production records and material usage logs.
- Machine maintenance — Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tools.
- Safety compliance — Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
- Team support — Support production goals and assist with additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in CNC machining.
- Experience with manual, semi‑automated, or automated tools (lathes, grinders, mills).
- Ability to use precision tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Knowledge of metal properties and CAD/CAM software for CNC machining.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship a plus.
- Strong math, analytical skills, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
