At Masconomet Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, meals are more than food - they're comfort, connection, and an important part of healing. We're looking for a compassionate, organized, and self-motivated Resident Dining Coordinator/Diet Aid to help ensure every resident receives meals that meet their clinical needs while honoring their personal preferences.
We're looking for someone who can work independently, build relationships with residents, and ensure every meal is accurate and personalized.
What You'll Do
As our Resident Dining Coordinator, you'll become a familiar and friendly face to our residents. You'll spend your day moving throughout the building, meeting with residents, learning their preferences, and ensuring they receive the right meals at the right time.
Resident Dining & Menu Management
Visit residents to discuss meal selections and complete weekly menus.
Interview residents and families regarding food preferences, allergies, and cultural or religious dietary needs.
Follow up with residents who are sleeping, in therapy, or unavailable to ensure no one is missed.
Build positive relationships while maintaining efficiency and keeping schedules on track.
Dietary Order Management
Adjust resident meal profiles and menu tickets based on new dietary orders.
Enter meal selections and dietary information into the computer system accurately.
Maintain current and accurate resident diet information.
Understand and apply various diet consistencies, including regular, chopped, diced, and texture-modified diets.
Meal Service Support
Prepare production sheets and tally menu selections for the kitchen.
Assemble meal trays with appropriate beverages, condiments, and utensils.
Communicate meal needs and special requests to cooks during service.
Ensure completed meals are placed correctly on meal carts.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
3-4 years of food service experience preferred, ideally in healthcare or senior living.
ServSafe certification is a plus.
Basic computer and data-entry skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to remain patient, observant, and respectful in all resident interactions.
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Typically 3-4 weekdays from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
At least one weekend day required each week.
