Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, including rotating weekends and holidays
Centered Care is seeking a dependable, patient, and energetic Attendant Caregiver to provide one-on-one support for an active client in the St. Johns area.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying engaged throughout the day, can think quickly in challenging situations, and is committed to helping clients maintain independence and achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct one-on-one attendant care services
- Accompany client safely to and from work, therapy appointments, and community activities using public transportation
- Assist with daily living activities as needed
- Encourage independence while maintaining a safe environment
- Utilize effective redirection and de-escalation techniques when needed
- Document care and report any concerns to the care team
- Build a positive, supportive relationship with the client
Requirements:
- Ability to pass background checks and pre-employment requirements
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging situations
- Experience with behavioral support, de-escalation, or direct care preferred
- Physically capable of keeping up with an active client
- Availability to work rotating weekends and holidays
