Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and professional Delivery Drivers to join our team as a FedEx Ground Contractor in Bossier City, Louisiana. This position involves the safe and timely delivery of packages to residential and commercial customers while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Drivers operate company provided delivery vehicles and box trucks. This role is well suited for individuals who prefer independent work, physical activity, and a fast paced delivery environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles on assigned routes
- Load and unload packages according to route assignments and delivery schedules
- Deliver packages to residential and commercial locations in a timely and professional manner
- Accurately scan and track packages using company provided equipment
- Provide courteous and professional customer service at each delivery location
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance or safety concerns
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Communicate delivery issues, delays, or exceptions promptly to management
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum age requirement of twenty one years
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Previous delivery driver or route driving experience preferred
- Warehouse experience involving loading and unloading is beneficial
- Ability to operate box trucks and navigate delivery routes safely
- Ability to perform physical work including lifting and moving packages throughout the day
- Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude
- DOT or commercial driving experience is a plus but not required
- Must be reliable, punctual, and safety focused
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull packages weighing up to one hundred fifty pounds with assistance as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb in and out of vehicles throughout the workday
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
Pay and Benefits
- Drivers are paid a daily route rate, not an hourly wage
- Daily pay ranges from $145 to $165 based on route and experience
- A fifth scheduled workday, when available, is paid at an overtime rate in accordance with state and federal law
- Paid training is provided
- Company provided vehicle and equipment
