Retail Sales Associate (Age 21+) – Gamber Liquors
Gamber Liquors is hiring 2–3 motivated Retail Sales Associates to join our team.
We're looking for friendly, dependable individuals who enjoy working with people and providing excellent customer service. Candidates with strong communication skills who make customers feel welcome will stand out.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Verify customer age and comply with all Maryland alcohol sales laws by checking identification when required.
- Answer questions about products, pricing, and promotions.
- Recommend products based on customer needs.
- Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately.
- Restock shelves and maintain clean, organized displays.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocking merchandise.
- Inform customers about current sales, discounts, and special offers.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and professional store environment.
- Stay up to date on new products and promotions.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Previous retail, customer service, or sales experience preferred.
- Previous experience selling alcohol or Maryland Lottery products is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
Training is provided for qualified candidates.
