Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of industrial machinery with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products, maintaining equipment functionality, and supporting continuous manufacturing processes. Duties
- Operate diverse machinery including CNC machining centers, CNC lathes, milling machines, stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment with accuracy.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to set up and run machines effectively.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Program and troubleshoot CNC equipment using Fanuc controls, CAM programming, and CNC programming techniques.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on industrial equipment to minimize downtime.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling tools; prepare products for packaging and shipment.
- Follow safety standards in production environments while maintaining high levels of quality control.
- Read mechanical blueprints and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications for precise fabrication.
- Adjust machine settings based on shop math calculations to optimize production efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks and support continuous process improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machines (including CNC milling machines and CNC lathes), stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, or similar manufacturing equipment.
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CAD (Computer-Aided Design), CAM programming, and technical drawing interpretation.
- Familiarity with shop math, blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machine operation, troubleshooting industrial equipment, and fabrication processes.
- Experience with factory or manufacturing facility operations; prior experience with packaging and materials handling is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions precisely.
- Basic math skills necessary for tooling adjustments and quality measurements.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments; commitment to maintaining a safe workspace.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and documentation.
