Physical Therapist (PRN) - Resorts at Pooler
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team at Resorts at Pooler, a renowned Nursing Home in Pooler, Georgia. Essential Functions:
Evaluate patients based upon physician referral/orders
Develop effective treatment plans with functional, goal-based outcomes and ensure approval/orders for services from referring physicians
Treat patients according to treatment plans
Record clinical documentation according to accepted regulatory and professional guidelines
Participate in discharge planning, patient care conferences, and other meetings as required or directed
Supervise Therapist Assistants and therapy students in direct patient care
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Work Environment:
Work in well-lighted and ventilated office and therapy areas
Sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently during working hours
Subject to frequent interruptions and high levels of stress
Participate in continuing educational programs, including overnight travel
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move (walk, stoop, bend, stand, sit, push, pull, and lift) intermittently throughout the workday
Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner
Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
Must possess sight and hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited college or university with a valid state license or eligibility to obtain license in the state where services are provided
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong patient-centered approach
