Reliable Health Care Services is hiring a dedicated Orientation and Mobility Specialist to serve families as part of the Nevada Early Intervention Services (NEIS) team in Elko, NV. This role supports children ages birth to three with developmental delays, with a specific focus on helping children who are blind or visually impaired learn to safely navigate their world.
Travel to rural communities is required, making this an ideal opportunity for professionals who enjoy meaningful work and a dynamic environment.
Your Role:
- Perform assessments and develop individualized O&M plans for children ages 0–3
- Provide services in natural environments including homes and community settings
- Collaborate with family members, caregivers, and early intervention professionals
- Document progress and participate in IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) development
- Travel to provide services in rural areas surrounding Elko
Required Qualifications:
- ACVREP Certification (Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Willingness and ability to travel to rural cities and communities
- Experience with pediatric populations is a plus, but not required
- Passion for early childhood intervention and improving children’s independence and quality of life
