Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will design, implement, and oversee individualized behavioral intervention plans for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders. You will collaborate closely with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive behavioral health services rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and diagnostic evaluations for clients with neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on data collection, client needs, and evidence-based practices in behavioral therapy and ABA.
- Implement behavior intervention strategies tailored to each child's unique requirements, focusing on skill acquisition and reducing challenging behaviors.
- Collect, analyze, and document data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.
- Provide clinical supervision and training to behavior technicians or paraprofessionals supporting client care.
- Communicate regularly with clients’ families and caregivers to educate them on intervention strategies, progress updates, and behavioral health concepts while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, medical records, and ensure adherence to confidentiality standards throughout all client interactions.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in settings such as schools, clinics, or home-based environments supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Strong background in applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral psychological assessments, functional assessments, and behavior intervention planning.
- Experience working specifically with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health and developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Prior experience conducting intake assessments and supporting clients through diagnostic evaluations is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently while providing clinical supervision within a team environment.
- Knowledge of medical documentation procedures, medical records management, and compliance with HIPAA standards is essential for success in this role.
