Duties
- Receive, unload, and organize incoming shipments using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory intake.
- Maintain optimal stock levels by regularly monitoring inventory counts through inventory management systems and performing cycle counts.
- Stock shelves efficiently while adhering to merchandising standards, ensuring products are accessible and visually appealing for customers.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by loading and unloading merchandise safely and accurately.
- Support warehouse operations by performing manual handling tasks, maintaining cleanliness, and conducting routine maintenance of equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product location inquiries and offering knowledgeable support on store items.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safe lifting practices, proper packaging, and overall organization of the stockroom area.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, warehouse operations, or grocery store environments is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems, RF scanners, and basic retail math is advantageous.
- Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling tools safely; certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customers.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and standing for extended periods; safe lifting practices are essential.
- Knowledge of merchandising standards, shipping & receiving procedures, and store cleaning protocols.
- A proactive attitude with a focus on safety, accuracy in stock control, and delivering exceptional customer service.
