Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee the successful planning, coordination, and execution of multifamily stone countertop and cabinetry projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the field operations and installation, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness while fostering strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Scheduling:
- Assist in developing detailed project completion plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, for cabinetry and stone countertop installations.
- Coordinate with clients and general contractors to align project requirements and expectations.
2. Team Leadership:
- Supervise field installation teams, including subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
- Provide leadership and problem-solving support to address challenges during the project lifecycle.
3. Budget Management:
- Monitor and manage project installation budgets to ensure profitability and cost control.
- Review and approve subcontractor invoices and other project-related expenditures.
4. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Oversee the delivery and installation of cabinetry and stone countertops to ensure adherence to quality standards and client specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
5. Client Relations:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients once the project is in field production, providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients field staff to foster repeat business and referrals.
6. Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and recommend/implement proactive solutions to minimize disruptions.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including change orders, schedules, and quality reports, to support risk mitigation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business Administration, or related field experience (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in cabinetry or stone countertop projects for the multifamily industry.
- Strong knowledge of multifamily construction processes and materials, including cabinetry and stone products.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Design 2020) and other construction-related tools.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
- Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
