Host
We are currently seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our team. The Host will be the main point of contact for guests making indoor table reservations, providing a positive experience from the moment they arrive.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a welcoming smile and polite demeanor
- Explain our ordering process to our guests upon arrival
- Explain open seating areas to guests who arrive without reservations
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Answer phone calls, return voice mail messages, and take reservations with professionalism, ensuring accuracy
- Collaborate with bartenders, food runners and kitchen team to ensure excellent service for guests
- Address customer issues that arise during the absence of a manager
- Team up with all other employees for opening and closing duties
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry preferred
- Strong guest service skills with a focus on guest relations
- Desire to learn more about the hospitality industry a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to converse appropriately with our guests
- Skilled at thinking quickly to handle issues with appropriate resolutions
- Team player with a helpful attitude
