Since 1983, Maaco of Chesapeake has served Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and the Outer Banks with high‑quality auto body, collision repair, and fleet/equipment painting. We’re a fast-paced, locally owned shop with a steady workload and a strong reputation.
What you’ll do
- Support our lead painter to prep vehicles and equipment for the paint line.
- Mix paints, mask, sand, and perform surface prep to quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Learn advanced painting techniques with a clear path to becoming a head painter.
What we’re looking for
- Dependable, adaptable, and detail‑oriented.
- 2+ years of auto body or paint experience preferred — we’ll train a dedicated newcomer.
- Willingness to follow processes and learn quickly.
- Team player with a positive, professional attitude.
Pay, schedule, and benefits
- Full-time, hourly: $15–$20 per hour, plus performance bonuses.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
