Position Summary
Stellar Oilfield Rentals is seeking a Fleet Mechanic for our Midland, Texas yard. This position is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of company vehicles, trailers, generators, and related equipment, ensuring the fleet remains safe, compliant, and ready for field operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, and maintain fleet vehicles and equipment including field service pickups, diesel tractor trucks, trailers, generators, and support equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance such as oil and fluid changes, engine tune-ups, filter replacements, belt, hose, battery, and tire inspections, repairs, and replacements
- Diagnose and repair diesel and gas engines, electrical and mechanical systems, and structural or body issues as needed
- Conduct test runs and road tests to ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for service
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records and support DOT, safety, and emissions compliance
- Assist with fleet inspections and operational readiness checks
- Maintain shop tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition
- Support yard operations and perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with diesel engines required
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Professional conduct and strong work ethic
- Commitment to safety standards and procedures
- Valid driver’s license
