Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly and positive attitude, providing exceptional guest services from arrival to departure
- Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems, ensuring accurate booking and seating arrangements
- Maintain efficient restaurant table management by coordinating seating flow and optimizing table turnover
- Answer incoming phone calls professionally, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries while practicing proper phone etiquette
- Assist guests with seating arrangements, waitlist management, and special requests to enhance their dining experience
- Support food service staff by communicating guest needs effectively and ensuring timely service delivery
- Uphold food safety standards and cleanliness protocols in all guest interactions and table settings
Skills
- Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and clearly
- Knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems and POS (Point of Sale) systems for efficient operations
- Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, seating plans, and guest flow smoothly
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for managing waitlists, reservations, and billing procedures when necessary
- Familiarity with restaurant table management systems and food safety practices to ensure guest satisfaction and safety
