Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture the youngest learners in our early childhood education program. As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will create a warm, engaging classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Your role is vital in guiding children through their formative years, fostering curiosity, independence, and a love for learning. You will lead classroom activities, collaborate with families, and implement developmentally appropriate curricula that support each child's unique growth journey.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to toddler development stages, incorporating literacy education, physical activity, and early intervention strategies.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning through play.
- Manage daily classroom routines, including meal times, diapering or potty training, naps, and transitions with patience and professionalism.
- Use effective behavior management techniques to promote positive social interactions and emotional regulation among children.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school partnerships.
- Maintain accurate documentation of child development progress, incident reports, and compliance with mandated reporting laws.
- Supervise assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality care and adherence to safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly with toddlers.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in child welfare and safety protocols is preferred.
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom efficiently while fostering a nurturing environment.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
