We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) to provide therapeutic massage services as part of our integrated healthcare and wellness team.
Position Summary
The ideal candidate is passionate about helping clients reduce pain, manage stress, improve mobility, and support overall wellness through evidence-based massage therapy techniques. This position offers the flexibility of a part-time schedule with commission-based earnings and the opportunity to work alongside healthcare providers in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Compensation
- Commission-based compensation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Client Care
- Conduct client consultations and review health histories before treatment.
- Assess client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Perform professional therapeutic massage services, including: Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Prenatal Massage (if certified), Sports Massage, Stretch Therapy, Therapeutic/Medical Massage, Relaxation Massage
- Educate clients on self-care, stretching, hydration, and wellness practices.
- Document treatment notes accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, behavioral health providers, wellness coaches, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in interdisciplinary referrals and care coordination.
- Assist in developing wellness packages and therapeutic programs.
Professional Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
- Maintain active licensure and continuing education requirements.
- Adhere to all state and professional practice standards.
Qualifications
Required
- Current North Carolina Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) credential.
- Current professional liability insurance.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred
- Experience in medical, rehabilitation, wellness, or integrative health settings.
- Experience working with clients experiencing chronic pain, stress, anxiety, or musculoskeletal conditions.
- Certification or training in specialty modalities such as: Hot Stone Therapy, Prenatal Massage, Sports Massage, Cupping Therapy, Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Drainage, Reflexology
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, client-centered care.
- Ability to educate clients on wellness and preventative health practices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive massage movements.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to maintain stamina throughout multiple client sessions.
