As we continue to scale, we are seeking a Lead Business Growth Advisor to serve as a trusted advisor to clients, strategic thought partner to leadership, and key contributor to the firm's growth.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Lead Business Growth Advisor is a senior-level growth and revenue leadership role responsible for driving new business development, strengthening strategic partnerships, supporting client advisory engagements, improving lead generation systems, and serving as a strategic extension of the CEO.
This role sits at the intersection of business development, growth strategy, client advisory, revenue operations, and relationship management.
The ideal candidate is comfortable leading executive conversations, conducting discovery calls, building referral partnerships, improving growth systems, mentoring team members, and helping business owners solve complex challenges.
- This is not a bookkeeping role.
- This is not a tax role.
- This is not a traditional sales role.
This is a consultative growth leadership position designed for an experienced professional who understands how small businesses scale.
REVENUE EXPECTATIONS
Minimum performance expectations include:
- Generate a minimum of $12,000 in new Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) per month
- Consistently maintain a healthy and active sales pipeline
- Generate qualified opportunities through partnerships, networking, referrals, speaking engagements, and business development activities
- Contribute directly to the firm's annual revenue growth objectives
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & REVENUE GROWTH (35%)
- Own the sales process from qualification through signed agreement
- Conduct qualification calls and discovery conversations with prospective clients
- Lead needs-assessment and strategic consultation discussions
- Present KWK services, recommendations, and solutions
- Guide prospects through the sales process
- Follow up on warm, dormant, and referral-generated opportunities
- Support proposal reviews and closing conversations
- Collaborate with leadership to refine sales strategy and improve conversion rates
- Generate new recurring revenue opportunities
- Maintain a maximum 48-hour response time for qualified opportunities
STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS & RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT (25%)
- Develop and maintain referral partnerships
- Build relationships with CPAs, attorneys, wealth advisors, consultants, coaches, and strategic organizations
- Identify speaking, networking, and partnership opportunities
- Represent KWK at conferences, industry events, and networking functions
- Expand KWK's visibility and influence within target communities
- Nurture long-term strategic relationships that generate opportunities for the firm
CLIENT ADVISORY & STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP (20%)
- Participate in client strategy sessions and executive conversations
- Facilitate discussions around growth, profitability, hiring, cash flow, pricing, and operational efficiency
- Help clients connect financial insights to business decisions
- Identify risks, opportunities, and growth barriers
- Support accountability and implementation efforts
- Strengthen client relationships and retention
- Identify opportunities for additional support and service expansion
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners
GROWTH INFRASTRUCTURE & REVENUE OPERATIONS (10%)
- Evaluate lead generation and conversion processes
- Identify opportunities to improve CRM utilization and data quality
- Strengthen lead capture, nurture, and follow-up systems
- Monitor lead source performance and pipeline velocity
- Track conversion rates, time-to-close, and revenue by channel
- Collaborate with marketing and business development initiatives
- Recommend improvements to customer acquisition and conversion processes
- Support ongoing optimization of KWK's revenue engine
IDEAL CLIENT PROFILE ENFORCEMENT (5%)
- Protect KWK's premium positioning and service standards
- Qualify prospects based on revenue, readiness, and overall fit
- Ensure firm resources are allocated to ideal clients
- Route non-qualified opportunities to appropriate resources when applicable
- Maintain alignment between sales efforts and operational capacity
LEADERSHIP & TEAM DEVELOPMENT (5%)
- Serve as a strategic resource for team members
- Coach and support business development efforts across the organization
- Collaborate with leadership on growth initiatives
- Contribute to process improvement and strategic planning discussions
- Help strengthen the firm's advisory capabilities
- Demonstrate ownership, initiative, and leadership in all areas of responsibility

- The ideal candidate combines business development expertise, executive-level communication skills, strategic thinking, and a strong understanding of how businesses grow.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of experience in business development, consulting, advisory, operations, executive leadership, marketing, finance, or related fields
- Experience working directly with CEOs, founders, or executive leadership teams
- Strong consultative sales and relationship-building experience
- Experience selling B2B high-ticket professional services or advisory engagements
- Exceptional communication and executive presence
- Ability to facilitate strategic business conversations
- Strong understanding of business growth, profitability, operations, and decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive results
- Experience managing CRM systems and sales pipelines
- Self-directed with strong accountability and initiative
STRONGLY PREFERRED
- Current or former business owner
- Experience scaling a business beyond $1M in annual revenue
- Experience in professional services, consulting, financial services, agency environments, or advisory firms
- Existing network of business owners, strategic partners, or professional communities
- Active involvement in organizations such as WBENC, NAWBO, WPO, Goldman Sachs 10KSB, BOW, or similar communities

COMPENSATION
Base Salary: $70,000–$100,000 (commensurate with experience)
Commission Structure: 10% of first-year contract value for directly sourced and closed clients
Commission Example:
Client Engagement: $6,000/month
Annual Contract Value: $72,000
