POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with a need for accommodation to perform the essential functions of this job.
- Prepare food and serve school lunches within designated timelines
- Assist Kitchen Manager with receiving food orders and re-stocking shelves
- Assist Kitchen Manager with daily starting and closing procedures
- Ensure all regulations related to food handling are followed
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the school kitchen
REQUIREMENTS:
- A Christian role model in attitude, speech, action
- Agree with Cascade Christian Schools' Teaching Statements and Statement of Faith
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Prior job-related experience preferred
- Current Washington State/Pierce County food handler’s permit
- Excellent customer service and positive attitude
- Ability to lift 35 - 40 lbs.

- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Demonstrate an attitude of support and encouragement
- Yearly regulatory training
- CPR Certified
- Complete a successful background check
WORK HOURS:
This part-time position works 20–25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and follows the Junior High/High School academic calendar.
START DATE:
August 24, 2026
SALARY RANGE:
$17.80-$20.55 per hour, depending on qualifications
Plus $0.50 shift differential for school size
