A) Industrialization Leader 1
i) Manage the technical development of a product from conception to production
ii) Utilize core tools such as PFMEA, DFMA, control plans, etc.
iii) Collaborate with engineering, operations, tooling and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes
iv) Review and approve or reject engineering drawings in accordance with internal DFM guidelines and requirements
v) Create and maintain detailed work instructions
vi) Ensure design and process are sufficient to produce the quality of product required by internal and external standards
vii) Support production areas, fabrication and final assembly, when new product is being launched to quickly address and correct and issues that may arise
viii) Recommend changes to designs, tolerances, or processing methods to resolve production issues
ix) Design and develop the process as necessary to produce the product at the volume and quality required
x) Attend design reviews and provide relevant feedback for manufacturability
xi) Support engineering as necessary through development phase
3. Qualification Requirements
A. Education & Qualification-
- B.S degree in a related technical field (e.g.: Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer/Technology, Aeronautics Engineer, or Electrical Engineer) or an Associate degree with 6 years related experience or 12 years of job related experience
B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge-
- One to three years of manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Catia or design modeling a plus
C. Professional Skills-
- Must have basic knowledge of production methods, process capabilities, tooling processes, and manufacturing processes
- Must be capable of preparing well-written reports and orderly reports
- Must have basic knowledge of manufacturing and related operations with detailed knowledge of such fields as product design, engineering function, tool design, tool fabrication, ergonomics and EHS, space layout, handling equipment, production machinery and equipment, N/C machinery and equipment, factory methods work, etc…
- Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing principles preferred
- Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and Operating Systems
- Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
- Ability to read and review written communication.
- Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
