Leave Specialist
Status: Full-Time, Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Pay Range: $35.00 – $39.00 per hour
Location: Jefferson City, MO (on-site)
Reports To: Corporate Director of HR
Are you an HR pro who loves helping people navigate the complex world of leaves of absence? We need a full-time, hourly Leave Specialist to join our team in Jefferson City, MO. This position works on-site at our Corporate Office.
In this role, you will lead our end-to-end leave programs, guide employees through their time-off processes, and use your expertise to tackle complex regulations (like California's CFRA and PDL). If you have a heart for empathy and an eye for strict compliance, we want to meet you!
What you'll do:

Leave Administration: Manage all aspects of FMLA, statutory state leaves, and company-specific leave programs across all locations.

ADA Management: Lead the end-to-end interactive process for all employee accommodation requests under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

California Compliance: Navigate complex California leave regulations, including CFRA and PDL.

Disability Coordination: Partner with the benefits team to coordinate Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) claims.

Employee Support: Guide employees through the leave process, provide required notices, and answer related questions.

Timecard & Payroll Coding: Audit and properly code timecards for employees on leave to ensure accurate payroll processing.

Tracking & Documentation: Maintain meticulous, confidential leave logs, medical certifications, and return-to-work authorizations.

HR Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks and special HR projects as needed.
Who we are looking for:
Our ideal candidate brings a minimum of 2 years of dedicated leave administration experience in the private sector, paired with a strong, proven understanding of labor laws and leave structures. You should be highly proficient with HRIS platforms and automated time-tracking systems.
