12 month contract to direct hire position

Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support medical device product development, testing, and sustaining engineering activities. This role will focus on electrical hardware design, board-level testing, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional support for Class II/III medical devices.
Required Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- 7+ years of medical device industry experience
- Experience with electrical hardware design and test execution
- Experience with Class II or III medical devices
- Strong knowledge of IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-1-2
- PCB/board-level testing and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with Altium or similar PCB design tools
- BOM analysis and component replacement experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Responsibilities:
- Lead IEC 60601 safety and EMC testing activities
- Serve as primary liaison with external test laboratories
- Support sustaining engineering for released medical devices
- Perform board-level testing, troubleshooting, and design verification
- Evaluate design changes, component replacements, and BOM updates
- Investigate failures involving PCBAs, power supplies, cables, and displays
- Support manufacturing, regulatory, quality, and supplier teams
- Document test plans, results, and regulatory compliance activities
Preferred Experience:
- EMC and electrical safety testing
- Regulatory submissions support
- Contract manufacturing interaction
- Cross-functional work with Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams
