As a Line Cook / Shawarma & Grill Cook, you will be responsible for cooking menu items while maintaining the high standards our guests expect. Whether you have experience with shawarma carving, chargrill cooking, fry stations, or high-volume restaurant kitchens, we are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and be part of a company with long-term expansion goals.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for experienced cooks and kitchen professionals to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Shawarma preparation and carving from a vertical broiler (doner/shawarma machine)
- Chargrill cooking including: chicken tawook, kafta, kabobs, and other grilled proteins
- Fry station operation and preparation of fried menu items
- High-volume line cooking and kitchen production
- Food preparation, portioning, and station organization
- Food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness
Previous experience cutting shawarma is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong kitchen experience, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to quality will be considered. We are willing to train the right individual on our systems and cooking methods.

JOB DUTIES
- Cook menu items according to House of Hummus standards
- Operate and maintain shawarma equipment, including carving and portioning
- Cook and monitor grilled items such as tawook, kafta, kabobs, and other proteins
- Prepare fried foods while maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation standards
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
- Assist with food preparation, portioning, and station setup before service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout each shift
- Ensure all food products meet company quality standards
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members
- Assist with inventory, stocking, and receiving deliveries when needed
- Complete opening, closing, and cleaning procedures
- Support fellow team members and contribute to a positive workplace culture
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred:
- Previous experience as a line cook, grill cook, shawarma cook, or kitchen team member
- Experience working with chargrills, fryers, and high-volume kitchens
- Experience carving shawarma from a vertical broiler is a plus
- Knowledge of Middle Eastern cuisine is preferred but not required
