Duties
- Develop detailed architectural drawings, schematics, and CAD documentation using AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software.
- Create precise 2D and 3D CAD models of building components, layouts, and mechanical systems with tools like SketchUp, MicroStation, Civil 3D, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to interpret design concepts into technical drawings that meet project specifications.
- Prepare construction documents and ensure all drafting adheres to industry standards and client requirements.
- Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to coordinate project data across disciplines for seamless integration.
- Assist in mechanical drafting tasks related to mechanical design, HVAC systems, and building infrastructure.
- Support the review of schematics, CAD detailing, and engineering CAD design to ensure accuracy before submission.
Requirements
- Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Civil 3D, NavisWorks, SketchUp, and SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of 3D CAD modeling techniques and BIM tools for architectural projects.
- Familiarity with mechanical drafting principles and mechanical design processes within construction environments.
- Ability to produce detailed CAD documentation including schematics and construction drawings.
- Experience in construction or engineering projects demonstrating proficiency in drafting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Knowledge of building codes, industry standards, and best practices for architectural drafting.
