Collision Repair Shop ManagerPosition Overview
We are is seeking an experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced collision repair facility. This role is responsible for managing technicians, maintaining production flow, ensuring high-quality repairs, and keeping vehicles moving efficiently through the repair process.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who understands collision repair operations and can coordinate technicians, estimators, and support staff to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to OEM standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shop operations and production workflow
- Manage and support technicians, painters, and shop staff
- Ensure repairs are completed according to OEM procedures and quality standards
- Monitor repair timelines and cycle time
- Coordinate with estimators to ensure accurate repair plans
- Conduct final quality inspections before vehicle delivery
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient shop environment
- Assist in resolving repair challenges and technical issues
- Track shop productivity and performance metrics
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in collision repair management or lead technician role
- Strong understanding of collision repair processes and shop workflow
- Leadership and team management skills
- Ability to manage multiple vehicles and jobs simultaneously
- Experience working with estimators, technicians, and insurance processes
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- I-CAR training or certifications preferred
