Job Title: Surgical Assistant
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental assisting and general dentistry. As a Surgical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our surgical procedures and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.
Duties:
- Assist the surgeon during surgical procedures, including but not limited to dental surgeries
- Prepare treatment rooms for surgeries and maintain cleanliness and sterility
- Take and record vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures
- Utilize Dentrix software for patient charting and scheduling
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently
- Provide support as a dental receptionist when needed
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of anatomy to assist during procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience in dental assisting is required
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance
- Proficiency in pediatric dentistry and prosthodontics
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and maintain detailed records
- Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is preferred
- Knowledge of general dentistry practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
