Overview: As a Diesel Technician/Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our vehicles and equipment. Your responsibilities will include conducting repairs, preventive maintenance, and utilizing technologies to diagnose and resolve issues promptly. Collaboration with the Shop Manager and adherence to safety protocols are essential for success in this role.
- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, suspensions, brakes, HVAC systems, and electrical components
- Conduct timely repairs and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment, following specifications.
- Ensure all repairs comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Install, replace, re-build, or repair parts and equipment to meet industry standards and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the Shop Manager to schedule repairs and preventative maintenance, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using various tools required for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Utilize computer skills for diagnostic purposes and complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, complying with corporate and OSHA standards.
- Interpret failure modes through vehicle computer electronics systems to initiate or assign necessary repairs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Engage in physical activities such as walking, lifting, twisting, turning, and climbing a ladder.
- Ability to lift heavy components safely; comfortable working in physically demanding environments using hand tools and power tools for extended periods.
- Possess a valid driver's license; CDL-A license is a plus.
- Have 1+ years of experience in truck and/or trailer mechanics a plus.
- Possess experience in Aluminum& Steel welding a plus.
