Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure optimal performance.
- Install, test, and commission new electrical equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical infrastructure to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices to accurately measure electrical parameters and troubleshoot issues.
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and installations.
- Supervise or assist with welding tasks when necessary for structural or equipment modifications.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, parts, and service history.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all maintenance activities, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
Requirements
- Proven electrical experience in manufacturing, facilities maintenance, or residential settings with a strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams.
- Ability to operate testing tools such as ohmmeters effectively for troubleshooting purposes.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment installation, welding, and structural modifications.
- Experience with CMMS software for work order management is preferred.
- Supervising or leadership experience demonstrating the ability to guide team members effectively.
- Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration across teams.
- Additional skills such as residential painting or customer service experience are considered a plus but are not mandatory. Pay: $20.33 - $40.71 per hour
