We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and people-focused Human Resources Generalist to support our growing team. This role will oversee day-to-day HR operations and serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers while helping to foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture.
ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Onboarding
- Post and manage job openings
- Screen candidates and coordinate interviews
- Conduct reference and background checks
- Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation
- Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding
- Maintain employee personnel files
Employee Relations
- Serve as a resource for employee questions and concerns
- Support managers with performance management and employee coaching
- Assist with disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans
- Conduct exit interviews
- Help maintain a positive employee experience and workplace culture
Benefits & Leave Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs
- Coordinate open enrollment and benefit changes
- Assist employees with benefit-related questions
- Manage leave requests and related documentation
- Support 401(k) administration and employee enrollment
Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws
- Maintain employee handbook and HR policies
- Track required licenses, certifications, and trainings
- Support workplace investigations when needed
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information
HR Operations
- Maintain employee records within Rippling and other HR systems
- Prepare HR reports and metrics
- Track PTO, attendance, and employee status changes
- Support compensation and payroll administration as needed
- Assist with special projects and organizational initiatives
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR certification preferred
- Knowledge of Massachusetts employment laws
- Experience with HRIS systems (Rippling experience a plus)
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Healthcare experience preferred but not required

Schedule
- Part-time position (approximately 20–25 hours per week)
- Flexible schedule available
- Some in-person presence required at our Newton location
