Job Overview
We are recruiting 2 General Cleaners to maintain cleanliness and organization at an indoor construction site in Lansing, MI.
This is a contract position suited for applicants who can work in a dynamic construction site environment.
Responsibilities
- Sweep floors, walkways, and common areas; collect and dispose of trash
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the overall work environment on site
- Clean staircases and maintain safe passage
- Regularly sweep entryways and empty trash receptacles
- Clean and organize one on-site office, including emptying the trash receptacle
- Comply with safety policies, and PPE requirements
- Perform other duties as directed by the manager
Qualifications
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Must hold legal work authorization in the United States
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must have transportation to the job site
Physical Requirements
Must be able to:
- Lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
- Push, pull, stand, bend, stoop, and kneel
- Walk and stand for up to 8 hours per day
- Climb stairs during the shift
- Use basic cleaning tools such as brooms, mops, and dustpans
PPE Requirements
Must be worn at all times on site:
- Hard hat
- High-visibility safety vest
- Steel-toed boots
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $23.00
- Sick Leave: 1 day accrued per month
- Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8 hours/day
