Student Population: Primarily 7th and 8th grade students

Caseload: Shared caseload alongside another School Social Worker

Student Support Areas: General education, special education, and one life skills classroom
Responsibilities:

Provide social-emotional support and counseling services to students
-
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers

Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
-
Conduct assessments and maintain appropriate documentation
-
Support behavior intervention strategies and crisis response when needed

Help connect students and families with community resources and support services
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Social Work required

Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement required

Previous school-based experience preferred

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Ability to work effectively with middle school students across diverse educational settings
