Overview
Veegmyeats is looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Front Counter Associate / Bakery Team Member to join our growing team!
As a front-of-house team member, you’ll be one of the first people our customers interact with and an important part of creating the welcoming experience we want every customer to have. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in keeping things clean and organized, and can confidently handle responsibilities independently in a fast-paced environment.
We’re looking for someone who is dependable, personable, detail-oriented, and excited to learn about our products and brand.
Responsibilities
● Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service
● Take customer orders accurately and operate our Square POS system
● Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments
● Learn our menu and confidently answer customer questions about flavors, products, ingredients, and allergens
● Package cupcakes, cookies, brownies, cakes, and other bakery items for customers
● Prepare and organize pickup and online orders
● Keep bakery display cases clean, organized, attractive, and properly stocked
● Restock packaging, napkins, utensils, and other front-of-house supplies
● Maintain cleanliness of the front counter, display areas, tables, and customer seating areas
● Wash, sanitize, and properly store display trays and front-of-house equipment as needed
● Monitor product levels and communicate restocking needs to the bakery team
● Answer basic phone inquiries and assist customers with order questions
● Help create a welcoming, positive atmosphere for every customer
● Complete assigned opening and/or closing duties
● Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures
● Assist with other front-of-house tasks as needed
Qualifications
Previous customer service, retail, restaurant, café, or bakery experience is preferred, but not required. We’re willing to train the right person!

● Is comfortable learning a POS system and handling payments
● Is willing to learn our products, ingredients, and allergen procedures
● Can follow directions and established procedures
● Is able to stand for extended periods and perform normal bakery/front-counter duties
● Has reliable transportation to work
● Has weekend availability
Schedule & Pay
Starting pay: $17.00 per hour
This is a part-time position, with the opportunity for additional hours as Veegmyeats grows.
Weekend availability is required. Scheduling may include weekdays, weekends, opening shifts, and/or closing shifts based on business needs.
