Job Overview:
We are seeking passionate, dedicated, and experienced Christian teachers to share their gift of teaching in a homeschool hybrid environment for the 2026-2027 semester. As a teacher with our program, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning atmosphere for students. You will play a crucial role in their enrichment education and personal development.
The ideal candidate is passionate about Jesus, hands-on education, flexible in their approach, and excited to work within the homeschool community model.
Positions Available: Early Elementary Teacher
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum & Instruction
- Develop and implement engaging, hands-on projects that inspire learning and align with the semester curriculum, as well as the vision of the program
- Adapt instruction to meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students in a multi-age setting
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and school administrators to ensure student and program success
- Foster a love of learning by incorporating interactive activities and projects into the curriculum
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline in accordance with program policies
- Utilize technology and other resources as needed to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Assist with daily set up and clean up
Classroom Leadership
- Foster a positive and respectful learning environment.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers
- Manage classroom routines, transitions, and behavioral expectations with consistency and care.
- Provide support to students who require extra assistance
Program Coordination
- Collaborate with program leadership to align curriculum across grade levels and subjects.
- Help coordinate enrichment activities, field trips, or special events as needed.
- Provide input on program development, scheduling, and long-term planning.
Family & Community Engagement
- Maintain open and regular communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in parent meetings, orientation sessions, and community gatherings.
- Build strong relationships within our homeschool community.
Class Days: Tuesday and Thursday; teaching days may vary based on curriculum/specialty
Hours per Week: 5 - 10 based on curriculum/specialty. Opportunity for growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Education or a related field (required)
- Proven Experience in your field of study (required)
- Valid teaching certification/license (preferred)
- Experience teaching in a homeschool, private, or alternative education setting (preferred)
Additional qualifications:
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing needs
- Familiarity with homeschool education philosophies, including child-led or PBL.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
