Job Summary
A growing single doctor general dental private practive in Brooklyn Park is looking for our next team member. We are seeking a professional and motivated licensed dental assistant (but will consider unlicensed with some front desk experience) who will help to continue our growth. Ability to provide patient-centric approach and desire to cultivate and foster long-term relationships with patients is a must. Preferred applicants on a professional level will have exceptional clinical skills as well as be upbeat, organized, and willing to provide outstanding dental care. Minnesota assisting license required. We are willing to accept new grads and help acclimate them to life after school.

Duties
- Assist dentist during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring aseptic techniques are maintained in accordance with infection control standards.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans (Carestream 8200) , ensuring accurate positioning and safety protocols are followed to protect patient health.
- Manage patient records using Open Dental while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality.
- Monitor vital signs and medical history documentation to support safe treatment planning for patients with diverse health backgrounds.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist, verifying insurance information, and updating medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with medical imaging procedures and recordkeeping related to medical coding and documentation for billing purposes.
- Ability to use a Trios scanner
- Ability to administer Nitrous Oxide
Requirements
- Valid license as a Dental Assistant with current certification to perform chairside assisting in accordance with state regulations.
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment, preferably with exposure to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or endodontics.
- Proficiency Open Dental; familiarity with dental coding and documentation is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice.
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners while adhering to safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members—including dental receptionists—and provide compassionate patient care.

Pay: $23.00 - $34.00 per hour
