Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized care in their homes or long-term care facilities. This position requires a nurturing attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while following care plans.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting social interaction and engagement.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Assist with mobility and physical activities to ensure client safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to HIPAA regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality.
- Document care provided and report any significant observations or concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with dementia care by using appropriate communication techniques and activities that stimulate cognitive function.
Skills
- Previous experience in home care, long-term care, or social work is preferred but not required.
- Skills in cooking and meal preparation are highly valued to ensure nutritious meals for clients.
- A background in nursing or healthcare is beneficial for understanding client needs effectively.
- A strong understanding of HIPAA regulations is essential to maintain client confidentiality.
- Able to pass an extensive background check
Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
