Responsibilities:
- Perform sterilization procedures for dental instruments and equipment
- Clean, disinfect, and package instruments according to established protocols
- Maintain sterilization logs and records
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety guidelines
- Assist healthcare professionals in setting up sterile fields for procedures
- Monitor and maintain inventory of sterilization supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient workflow
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Sterilization Technician or in a related role is preferred BUT not required.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and procedures or the willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with medical and dental instruments and equipment or the willingness to learn.
- Understanding of infection control protocols and safety guidelines
- Experience working in a healthcare or dental setting is a plus
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain records
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with the healthcare team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
