The ideal candidate will have a valid Maryland Guard Card and two or more years of experience. Pay: $17.00 - $19.00
Shifts: Swing and nights, Monday – Friday
Day, swing, nights Saturday - Sunday
Some of what you’d be doing:
- Conduct thorough facility entrance screening to ensure compliance with security protocols
- Greet and direct building visitors and vendors, as applicable
- Perform security watch to maintain a constant and alert presence
- Observe and report any unlawful or inappropriate activity as per post orders
- Manage emergency situations and report as appropriate
- Maintain appropriate documentation of all security tours and any incident reports that may result
- May work in varied weather conditions
Important Qualifications:
- Two or more years’ Security experience with valid Maryland Security Guard Card
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and make quick, informed decisions
- Reliable transportation to and from work sites
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with walkthrough and handheld metal detector
- CPR/First Aid Certification
