Job Summary
We are seeking a highly efficient, skilled Embroidery Machine Operator to manage two brand-new, 8-station Tajima embroidery machines. Because our production and design files are prepped and streamlined ahead of time by our team in China, this role requires someone who can review digital files and communicate technical adjustments directly with our overseas team when needed.
To allow you to focus entirely on machine efficiency and high-speed hooping, we provide a dedicated post-production helper to handle all thread trimming, cleaning, folding, packing, and shipping. You will not be responsible for any post-production work.
Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up, program, tune, and maintain two brand-new 8-station Tajima embroidery machines for high-volume production.
- File Verification: Review and test-stitch incoming digital embroidery files from China, adjusting thread tensions to guarantee defect-free mass production.
- Remote International Coordination: Communicate technical feedback (such as stitch density, underlay, or pull compensation) directly to the digitizing team in China.
- High-Speed Hooping: Maintain a fast, continuous hooping cycle to keep both 8-station machines running in a staggered loop, minimizing machine downtime.
- Routine Maintenance: Handle daily basic machine maintenance, oiling, quick needle replacements, and bobbin changes.
- Workflow Organization: Assist in inventory management of embroidery supplies, including threads, stabilizers, and fabrics.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and adherence to design standard
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the post-production helper, quickly handing off completed batches for trimming and packaging.
Requirements
- Industry Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience operating multi-head computer embroidery machines (experience operating Tajima machines is mandatory).
- Good English communication skills to coordinate with internal team and management.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of commercial embroidery, including thread tension adjustments for various fabrics, proper backing/stabilizer selection, needle sizes, and stitch quality control.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of working in a factory environment, standing for long periods, and performing fast-paced, repetitive hooping with high endurance.
- Goal-Oriented: Strong sense of responsibility and efficiency to hit a combined team target of 500-700+ pieces per day alongside the helper.
