Duties
- Oversee daily clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to optimize efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Manage financial aspects such as budgeting, billing, coding, and insurance claims processing using systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix
- Supervise administrative staff, providing training, performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative team environment
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure the confidentiality of all medical records and patient information
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support surgical procedures, ensuring all medical records are accurate and up-to-date in EMR/EHR systems such as CareStack
- Handle human resources functions including addressing employee concerns to promote a positive workplace culture
- Monitor practice performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance operational productivity and patient care quality
Requirements
- Proven experience in office management within a dental or oral surgery setting; clinic experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of dental office procedures, medical terminology, and healthcare regulations including HIPAA and OSHA standards
- Expertise in financial management including budgeting, billing, managed care contracts, and revenue cycle management
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as CareStack
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading administrative or clinical teams in a healthcare environment
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Background in healthcare administrative support combined with strong communication skills to liaise between patients, staff, and external partners
