ROLE
Engineer I Performs routine to complex maintenance and repair work on all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems throughout the Hotel property and accomplish all functional duties required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Engineer I
· Regularly engages in performing all types of preventive maintenance, and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment, refrigeration units, air handlers, generators.
· Performs cosmetic repairs and installations of all types’ wallpaper, paint, ceiling materials, furniture, and all their associated materials and fixtures.
· Installs and repairs all types of plumbing fixtures and associated piping.
· Files daily log on reporting routine duties and repair requests properly.
· Insures that all equipment, in the physical plant is in good repair.
· Responsible for the implementation of all maintenance projects, including, but not limited to replacement of air filters, lubrication of all pumps and motors, replacement of any belts, bearings or other mechanical parts.
· Provides preventative maintenance required by specific equipment manufacturers.
· Responds to any service calls, as assigned to him/her by the dispatcher.
· Demonstrated ability to operate related equipment.
· Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
· Ability to carry up to 60 lbs.
· Ability to kneel, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
· Ability to bend at waist and lift to overhead.
· Ability to stretch to overhead and hold while on ground or ladder.
· Must be able to work independently without supervision.
· Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
· Operate and maintain equipment and systems I the most cost and energy efficient manner available.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
· The Engineer I or II must have basic mathematical aptitude and exceptional troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities to be able to identify problems and make recommendations for corrective action with all mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.
· Must be able to determine safety issues, bring to attention of leaders and take corrective action if possible.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Engineer II

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Engineer III
Responsibilities:
- Oversee basic repairs in the area of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, tile work, carpeting, and concrete.
- Ensure employees fulfill all guest requests in a timely manner.
- Interrogate and program SafeLok guest unit locks.
- Proactively check for and address any areas requiring maintenance or repair.
- Ensure maintenance shop(s) are clean and organized.
- Ensure inventory of all supplies are at par levels.
- Ensure proper training of all maintenance personnel.
- Monitor training of new employees.
- Ensure all employees follow all safety procedures.
- Appropriately document accidents and incidents.
- Conduct coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action.
- Create and maintain proper scheduling of employees.
- Recruit, interview, hire and train new employees.
- Ensure that operating costs are within budgetary guidelines.
- Must have working knowledge of a 2-way radio system.
- Ensure that work tasks are divided up equally among lead engineers, maintenance engineers, landscapers, and painters.
- Establish positive relationships with resort’s vendors.
- Ensure proper maintenance of the life safety systems.
- Perform all other job requests as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must have effective oral and written English communication skills.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of maintenance supervisory experience.
- Must have working knowledge of power tool operation.
- Ability to lift, pull, and manipulate heavy objects.
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
