Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Glass Glazier/Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, replacing, and repairing glass and glazing systems in a variety of commercial and residential projects.
Duties
- Measure, cut, and install glass panels, windows, doors, and storefronts according to project specifications and blueprints
- Read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine proper installation procedures
- Operate hand tools such as chisels, scrapers, and caulking guns as well as power tools including drills, saws, and glass cutters
- Fabricate glass components in the shop or on-site to meet project needs with precision
- Install framing systems using metal studs or wood trim carpentry techniques to support glass fixtures
- Perform heavy lifting of glass panels and materials safely using appropriate equipment
- Seal joints with caulking or weatherproofing materials to ensure durability and energy efficiency
Requirements
- 3 years proven experience in glass installation, construction site work, or related trades such as carpentry or remodeling.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction and fabrication environments
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus but not required
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly and work at various heights safely
- Familiarity with metal stud framing, door hanging, fixture installation, cabinetry work, and construction painting is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety protocols at all times
- Prior experience working on remodeling projects or as a handyman is beneficial
