HealthWorksPros is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and motivated Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) to join our growing multidisciplinary behavioral health team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality substance use disorder (SUD) assessment, counseling, and recovery support services while collaborating with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, primary care providers, and case managers in an integrated healthcare environment.
Position Summary
The LCADC will provide comprehensive substance use evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, deliver individual and group counseling, coordinate referrals, and support patients throughout their recovery journey. The ideal candidate is passionate about improving lives through evidence-based treatment and integrated behavioral healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive substance use disorder assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling services
- Complete psychosocial assessments and clinical documentation in accordance with State of New Jersey regulations
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, therapists, and care coordinators
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
- Provide crisis intervention and relapse prevention counseling
- Coordinate referrals to community resources and higher levels of care when needed
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant electronic medical records
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CARF, Joint Commission, and applicable state and federal regulations
Qualifications
Required
- Active New Jersey Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) license
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience preferred
- Experience providing substance use disorder treatment and counseling
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records
Preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience working in integrated behavioral health or community mental health settings
- Experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Familiarity with Medicaid and commercial insurance documentation requirements
- Telehealth experience
