Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of sales associates and staff to achieve retail goals through effective coaching, training, and development.
- Oversee daily store operations including inventory management, merchandising, pricing, and stock replenishment to maximize sales potential.
- Manage employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting efforts, and onboarding processes to build a high-performing team.
- Cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accurate financial transactions.
- Supervise inventory control procedures and purchasing activities to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing shrinkage.
- Implement marketing initiatives and promotional strategies to boost store traffic and sales performance.
- Ensure excellent customer service by maintaining phone etiquette, addressing customer inquiries promptly, and resolving issues efficiently.
- Oversee shift management, scheduling, and time management to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours.
- Conduct regular staff training on product knowledge, sales techniques, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Maintain organizational standards for cleanliness, safety compliance, and store presentation to create an inviting shopping environment.
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail settings with a focus on supervising teams and managing daily operations.
- Strong background in retail math including sales management, pricing strategies, budgeting, and financial recordkeeping.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, payroll administration, bookkeeping, and inventory management.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, merchandising techniques, and inventory control practices.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly valued for effective communication with diverse customer bases.
- Prior experience in retail sales environments such as grocery stores or wireless sales is advantageous.
- Exceptional organizational skills combined with excellent communication abilities to lead teams effectively and manage multiple priorities seamlessly.
