Location: Martha’s Vineyard (Grand Rapids)
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Shift: Night Shift, weekends 2pm - 10pm
Pay: Starting at $17/hr. (Higher rate available with experience)

Are you passionate about great food, excellent customer service, and working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment? Martha’s Vineyard is looking for an enthusiastic Gourmet Food Deli Associate to join our team. We are currently hiring for two new team members to join our night team with full-time or part-time options available. Weekend availability is necessary.
What You’ll Do:
As a Gourmet Food Deli Associate, you’ll be a key part of our deli team, providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality deli meats, cheeses, and other specialty items. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting customers with product selection, slicing meats and cheeses, and answering questions about our wide variety of deli items.
- Cutting, wrapping, and selling specialty cheeses.
- Keeping the deli counter and prep areas clean and organized throughout your shift.
- Restocking deli items and keeping product displays fresh, appealing, and fully stocked.
- Collaborating with your teammates to ensure smooth and efficient deli operations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous customer service experience is required.
- Friendly and customer-focused individuals who enjoy engaging with people.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow food safety procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Previous deli or food service experience is a plus but not required – we will provide training for the right candidate.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Minimum of 18 years of age required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Requires the use of hands for reaching, touching, or handling and fine finger movements.
- Requires the ability to push, pull, maneuver, or lift objects up to 40 lbs. frequently
- Requires the ability to bend, kneel, squat, stoop, walk, and stand for duration of shift.
- Work is performed in a retail store with quiet to moderate noise level.
- Frequently exposed to cold and hot conditions (non-weather).
- Frequently exposed to wet, slippery, or damp conditions.
- Frequently exposed to and requires the use of equipment with sharp blades or edges.
