The Logistics Specialist is a position responsible to maintain the operation flowing efficiently. It’s different responsibilities connect with different departments in the organization, customers, carriers with the objective of keeping the organization flowing efficiently operationally.
Duties and Responsibilities -
-Maintain Loads in transit updated. Twice per day (morning and afternoon).
-Collect PODs if required.
-Book loads with new and existing carriers.
-Create a new database of carriers to develop relationships.
-Include on every load drivers name, last name, phone# , tractor and trailer to be able to track loads efficiently.
-Search for loads withing our existing customer database.
-Keep customers and team informed about status of shipment updates
-Identify improvement opportunities on operation.
-Overseeing department planning and development
-Maintain a professional environment. (assistance, punctuality, language, dresscode,)
